Thursday Thirteen #3: Things Left to do Before the Wedding!

Thirteen Things To Do Before The Wedding:

The wedding is less than 5 weeks away and there's still a ton of stuff to do:

1. Get my birth certificate because of where I was born I only have a baptism certificate, which is unacceptable in this province, so I need one before I can do anything else.

2. Get a marriage license (luckily found out that if this birth certificate stuff delays the license we can still get married...just won't be legal until we sign the papers)

3. Get a passport (again only once I have the birth certificate).

4. Buy the items needed for the wedding favors.

5. Put the favors together.

6. Choose and purchase the red and white wines.

7. Buy beverages for those who don't drink/are under age.

8. Plan and buy the food for the party after.

9. Put the food together (we're doing all that in the two days prior to the wedding)...crazy, I know!

10. Go for my dress fitting (was post poned because I just had a baby a couple months ago).

11. Call the photographer and send him a list of who's who in the wedding party.

12. Buy sweaters for my flower girl and bridesmaid ( my baby) and white ones just in case its cool!

13. Put the bouquets together....

Turns out there's more than 13 things but I have too stop here for now....I hope I get this done without going absolutely insane!

Man, I keep hearing about weddings, it only makes me want to redo my wedding. :P

There's so much that goes into planning a wedding, I just hope you don't try to do everything yourself, because that's a lot to organize!

I can't imagine planning a wedding for 250 or more! or even 100 for that fact.

We are having 30...close friends, and immmediate family only! More like a party (after the pics and the ceremony is over)...the best kind...just busy + add a 12 week old to the mix!

Weddings can be so stressful, but better now than on the acctual day! Be sure to delegate everything and tell them just how you want evertyhing. That way people won't bug you all day on your wedding day. COngrats!!

Thats a lot of stuff to do! I swore off a wedding for when I finally get hitched. I'm running off to some tropical local and I'm gonna do it there. Seems easier that way!

I hope the last few weeks of wedding planning go easy for you!

I can't do anything until I get that darn birth certificate...they treat me being born in Quebec as though I was born in another country!

LOL...at least the officiant said we can still have the ceremony it just won't be legal until we sign the papers...passport on the other hand won't be ready in time. We're not leaving right away anyhow...thank goodness!
